Fitness For Sports- Overview

The key factors determining success in Fitness for Sport is the ability to maximize your genetic potential with appropriate physical and mental training to prepare both the mind and body for intense competition. Preparation for Fitness for Sports incorporates fitness components such as strength, power, speed, endurance and neuromuscular motor skills for a specific sport. Training for sports performance is more intense, prolonged and frequent than training for health. while many of our readers are not involved in Olympic weightlifting, running a 100 yard sprint or going for a record in the 5000 meter race, we are involved in a number of sports that require intense training in order to be competitive and, more important, to prevent injury.
So we will provide articles, tips, tools, products, nutrition information, and much more for athletes who are involved in sports like marathons, CrossFit, Golf and body building.

The competitive nature in many of us drives us to competition and we become motivated, engaged in group activities and, as a result get healthier- if done right. We will focus on physical power, mental strength and developing a mechanical edge- this will be for athletes of any age and given that I qualify for the master class (senior) you will see a lot of attention for the senior group of athletes.
