Recently Ryan Danescu wrote a fun filled book about life in the McLean and Ann Arbor Trail neighborhoods. Ryan writes about the adventures of our softball team that won every game over seven years and never had an adult coach.  It is a funny narrative about times in the old neighborhood and would be a great read for your grandkids to help them understand what life in the 50’sand 60’s was like.  From a historical perspective it is also interesting that every one of our dads served in the military. That leads up to the biggest game we played – the 12 year old sons against the dads- the mothers were on our side.

I know you will get a laugh out of our activities- but also an insight into our culture at that time- what a difference from today.  We have changed and I do not know if it is to the better. Read the book and let us know what you think.
